Kellerman Ensemble, “A Christmas Prayer” – Kellerman,
a versatile Twin Cities reeds player, leads a group of fine musicians
in an eclectic tribute to Christmas, mixing jazz, folk and chamber
music in tunes both familiar and less know. Highlights include a string-ensemble
version of “Joy to the World” and a catchy guitar solo
by Dean Magraw on “Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella.” Bruce
Henry delivers a warm vocal on “A Cradle in Bethlehem,” and
Kellerman plays a smooth saxophone lead on “Have Yourself a Merry
